Our history and new direction
Established in 1962, current owners Theresa and Luke Gurry purchased and rebranded Truline in 2022.
Truline was originally founded by owner-operator Bob King as Truline Post Drivers in Scotts Creek, Victoria. Bob designed and built the first Cable Post Driver at his Scotts Creek location before relocating to Cobden, where he introduced the innovative Truline Bale Feeder.
In 2022, Theresa and Luke took ownership of Truline, recognising the company’s untapped potential. With a fresh approach focused on customisation and additional services, they rebranded the company as Truline Machinery. Their vision helped revitalise the business, driving productivity and sales forward, while maintaining the core values that made Truline a trusted name in farming machinery.

Luke Gurry
Owner
Before taking over the ownership of Truline in 2022, Luke’s career in fabrication began at Heatherington Engineering in Warrnambool in 1998. After five years of assembling machinery for SWI Machinery, Luke relocated to Perth, WA, where he established his own business, which specialises in driveshaft repairs. He eventually sold the business and returned to Warrnambool, where he founded LG Engineering.
In 2022, Luke combined Truline with LG Engineering, restructuring the company to incorporate fabrication work, general machining, and the manufacturing of farm machinery. This expansion allowed Luke to build a more comprehensive service offering, combining his experience and passion for creating high-quality, custom machinery.
Luke is now the driving force behind Truline Machinery, managing the business and maintaining a strong customer service focus. He enjoys liaising with customers directly to understand their needs and gathers valuable feedback to improve the usability of the machinery. Luke is passionate about designing custom farming equipment and stays at the forefront of design software advancements.
Luke loves engaging with farmers and often takes them on guided workshop tours, showcasing his latest designs and ideas. His goal is always to make farmers’ lives easier with more efficient, durable, and reliable machinery.
